1) In class, we watched and discussed the film The Godfather. Before the film, we discussed of how the film was a cultural film. The film was directed by Francis Ford Coppola. We talked about his career and how the film changed a culture and was a highly praised film critically and publically. The film grossed millions of dollars and was a huge success. We also dissected the film and looked at the themes which were anti-hero, murder/violence, and family values. Together, they blended together really well. We also discussed how Robert Ebert viewed and dissected the film and gave his opinion of the film. The impact was also very profound as a result of the film. The film also went onto be one of the greatest grossing films of all time, grossing $244,000,000 worldwide.
